Kick off your ASC with a good breakfast while getting to know some of the key people within the organization, who will be there to answer all of your questions.​

Many early career scientists, especially those attending the ASC for the first time, have a lot of questions about how to become a member of our community and why!

Jörn Schmidt, ICES Science Committee (SCICOM) Chair and Mark Dickey- Collas, ICES Advisory Committee (ACOM) Chair, introduce 
this breakfast event for early career scientists to start the week.

​ASC mentor programme

Are you attending  ASC for the first time? Our mentors can help you to get to know ICES and the people in our network.

What does the mentor programme offer?

  • A personal introduction to the workings of ICES as an organization
  • A discussion group with your peers about the work being presented at the ASC
  • An excellent networking opportunity as you are introduced to various new colleagues and find out how you can become more involved in the work of ICES
