The ASC 2019 takes place in Gothenburg, Sweden, 9-12 September.
Those proposing theme and/or network sessions (formerly known as open session) are encouraged to demonstrate how their objectives link to the science priorities proposed by the ICES Science Committee (SCICOM), as well as to our Steering Groups and Advisory Committee (ACOM) and the Strategic Initiatives.
Applicants are particularly encouraged to develop engaging formats for their sessions. Options for finding new ways of sharing your science and innovation could include panel discussions, brief introductory slots or keynotes, or stakeholder participation.
Examples of a theme session and a network session are available to help structure your proposal. You can learn more about the purpose of the two ASC session types from the guidance document that describes the expected content of theme sessions and network sessions.
